#3

Kesäloma on sekoittanu unirytmin kokonaan, eikun siis mikä kesäloma, mähän valmistuin lukiosta. Pääsi unohtumaan. Tuli herättyä puol kolme tänään päivällä ja nukkumaan mentiin kello viisi aamulla. Syyllinen lukija tietää, mistä puhun. Herättyäni mentiin suihkun kautta grillaamaan päivälliseksi pihviä ja keittämään uusia perunoita ja sieltä koneelle. Oli mulla ihan postaukseksi ideakin, ajattelin tänään selittää vähän pelihistoriastani WoWiin liittyen ja muutenkin all things World of Warcraft.

After hellish of a night and a morning I'll pursue the day. Or rather not, I could go back to sleep to be honest. Summer break has messed up my sleeping rhythm, big time. No wait, what summer break, I graduated from High School, right? I honestly forgot about that. I woke up 14:30 PM today and went to sleep 05:00 AM.. The person responsible for this will know what I'm talking about. After waking up I took a shower and after that I went on to grill myself a steak and boil potatoes for lunch and then came online. Oh, but I do have a point for this post too, I was thinking about explaining some of my gaming history with WoW and anyways, all things World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft, elämäni eläin, kulmakivi ja kaikkea muuta sairasta.

World of Warcraft, my life's meaning, cornerstone and all other things as sick as those. I started playing a moment after the European release, because one of my best friends in that era played it and got me, and my other best friend hooked. We watched as she played a Night Elf druid and ran around in breathtaking scenery after another. I was 12 years old at that time, barely in the permitted age to play said game. I admit, that the game was pricey, the original copy cost me 50 euros and the monthly subscription was 12,99 euros. I had to beg my father days upon days and come up with explanations on how the game would improve my English, for I used to be terrible at it. I can't recall how long the persuading took, but after a while my dad finally bought me the game. That excitement of getting that large box, consisting of several discs, in my hands was nearly as through the roof as it was on my birthdays. Downloading it took several hours, patching it took me more than a day ( crappy internet, yeah), but surely soon I got this shortcut on my desktop that had a large W on it and below it said World of Warcraft.

Ennenkuin seuraava lisäosa, the Burning Crusade tuli, olin juuri ja juuri päässyt levelille 58 ja pääsin suoraa the Black Portalista Outlandsiin.

The first character I made, was a Night elf priest on the server Earthen Ring (RP), where also my best friends were playing. I played that said character for only a few levels forwards and after that, I decided that priest wasn't my thing at all. I deleted her and the next option for me was a Night Elf druid on the exact same server, a fair woman with a french braid, called Mûdi. I remember how I slowly but surely got levels, stopping from time to time to listen to the ingame music that was close to perfection. For my first spec I chose Balance, but in my own stupidity I went to the Auction House and bought myself a wand. After, I wondered, why couldn't I use it. The levels matched, but that damned thing just wouldn't stick to my inventory. After a while I realized that god fucking damnit, druids cannot use wands. Long into my levels I used alot of grey and white gear, and when I got my hands on greens, some of them had agility and some of them were cloth. Stats didn't mean anything to me and that cool witches pointy hat just looked so god damn awesome on my Miss. Alts I didn't make, I was so fixed on leveling my druid. When I finally hit the level of 40, I switched my little druid into Feral. I started understading that leather was meant for druids and agility/attack power did good for my little feral specced woman. Before the next expansion came, The Burning Crusade, I was barely the level 58 and I could go straight through the Black Portal into Outlands.

Burning Crusade oli minun lisäosien luvattu maani. Hyvät, tarpeeksi haastavat instancet. Kiinnostavat questlinet. Hyvä seura. Hyvät ystävät. Lennettävät ratsut. Kaikkien raidien äiti, Karazan. Black Temple. Kokonaan uusi gear.. Kaikki sopi minulle. Opettelin pelaamaan paremmin, rakastuin World of Warcraftiin uudestaan. Olin ollut jo kauan levelillä 70, kun uusi lisäosa ilmoitettiin, Wrath of the Lich King. Jännitystä ilmassa olisi voinut leikata veitsellä.

Burning Crusade was the promised land of expansions for me. Good, challenging enough instances. Interesting quest lines. Good company. Flying mounts. The mother of all raids, Karazan. Black Temple. All new gear.. Everything suited me like a glove. I played in a guild called Devil beside You with one of my best friends, and that guild has been the best guild I've ever been in 'till this day. I got along with almost everybody, we did raiding ( where I was a main tank with my druid).. One of the most painful things I did was getting my epic flying form for my druid, and I can't even recall if I ever succeeded in that before that said form could be bought from the flying trainer. I learned how to play better, I fell in love with Word of Warcraft again. I was at the max level of 70 for quite a long while, before the next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, was announced. The excitement in the air could've been cut with a knife.

When Lich King arrived, I admit I got bored rather quickly. I got to lvl 80, I hated almost every questing place except Grizzly Hills and Storm Peaks, I hated all the instances, raiding I never got to do. The only good thing I got from period of TBC and Lich King was one of my best friend until this day, who I still play with. I stopped playing WoW after a while, decided to take a break. The said friend of mine helped me get gear when I didn't want to and when playing tasted like cardboardboxes, all credit to him, you're dear to me. The people who I played with varied, I transferred my lovely druid from Earthen Ring to the server where my friend was, Bladefist. After my break I continued playing, but at that point they had already announced another expansion, Cataclysm. This expansion woke up my inner nerd, I mean c'mon, dragons. You just don't get it. I awaited for the expansion and when it released, I skipped class in order to go and buy it when it first appeared in the nearest store.

Cataclysm, even when mocked greatly, was good time for me. I switched from Bladefist to Grim batol with a very dear friend of mine, to the horde side, to play a Blood elf hunter called Clowdy. I raided and played the said hunter ( who was lvl 30 when I started playing her) to level 85, and had alot of fun with a few friends of mine, one of which Im still in good terms with and whose company I greatly enjoy in game and irl. Cataclysm was the time of the alts for me. At the greatest I had eight lvl 85 characters, all hordes. A few things happened to me in real life and after a few human relations ended I decided, in my utmost anguish, to switch from horde back to Alliance. In midst of all of this, one of my friends transferred my dear old druid from Bladefist to Grim Batol, on the hordeside to be a Troll and her name came to be Tulilintu (Phoenix or firebird in English).

I got myself the digital copy of Mists of Pandaria, and started playing the minute the said expansion came to be in midnight Paris time. Up until now I had played horde characters, but after I dinged Clowdy and Tulilintu lvl 90, I switched to Alliance. I started playing a Night Elf monk, named Kiriell. I enjoyed being alone for the time being, but after I joined a guild named Scion, I found myself with new friends, from which others were dearer than others and I got myself a person, who I can call one of my best friends now. I played my monk to the level 74, and then I made a new hunter, after deleting all my previous horde characters. I leveled my hunter to be lvl 90, and at the same time I leveled a rogue to the same level, who is now considered to be my main. I switch servers but you can find me from Earthen Ring, the Sha'tar, Grim Batol, Bladefist and Argent Dawn with my friends.

Kiitos lukemisesta!

Here's a few pictures of my characterlists on different servers. You can come and poke me ingame if you recognize your own server. WoW has always been a dear part of my life, as a way to past the time plus that all I know about English as a language, I've picked up from there. And these things I will be using to become a translator! Thank you for reading!
